Importance of Investing in Your Community as a Medical Provider

As a professional provider of medical and wellness services, you are already doing great work in keeping people in your community healthy and pain-free—but you can do even more to support your community locally and globally! At Aspen Laser, it is important for us to invest in partnerships with non-profit organizations for the advancement of our global community, and to give more people learning opportunities and access to care.

Community Investment is Important

Investments in your community play an important part in promoting health and wellness, creating and preserving affordable housing, and contributing to economic vitality. Community investment also makes big cities and small towns more equitable and sustainable. These investments are most effective in places where conventional market activities do not fully meet the needs of the community.

Investments can fund needed services, finance economic development, and support sustainable communities in a variety of ways. Funding can provide safe and affordable housing, for example, as well as education, job opportunities, financial counseling, childcare, and other services that keep a community running well.

Community investment allows you to direct your investment dollars towards a specific community, including your own. Investing helps individuals, businesses, and organizations obtain funding that might be otherwise out of their reach. They can use this funding to purchase equipment, bring their message to a larger audience, move into a better building, or hire more staff. In the end, community investments help people help themselves.

Investing in the community can also boost your bottom line. Creating and sustaining a positive image is one of the best ways to promote your organization and generate brand awareness, for example, and a good reputation is a great way to attract new customers. Community engagement can even help you retain your best employees—88% of company leaders responding to a survey by America’s Charities say that employee engagement programs help them attract and retain employees. Supporting the community through investments can also bring media attention to an organization and nurture strategic relationships with the nonprofit sector and with other businesses.

How to invest in your community

Identify the causes you care about

If you would like a cleaner community, for example, invest in groups dedicated to removing graffiti by purchasing paint and other supplies or by sponsoring cleanup events.

Decide what you wish to invest

Monetary investments are always helpful, of course, but your organization or business can also invest equipment or services that benefit your community – sometimes professional equipment and expertise is worth more than money.

Find local partners to work with

Partnerships with other businesses and organizations helps you build an even better community than you could create on your own. Partnerships also foster good working relationships between the participating organizations.

Sponsor events or drives

Sponsorship is a great form of investment for busy businesses and organizations. Sponsoring a food or clothing drive helps families get the supplies they need to attend work or school.

Aspen Laser is Committed to Our Community

Every member of the Aspen Laser team is committed to helping both our local and our global community. We continually expand our commitment to community investment in hopes of making the world a happier, healthier place to live. We are proud of the community investments we have made in the past, and hope to bring more hope to more people in the years to come. Here are just a few of our projects:

Foundation for Chiropractic Progress

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness about the value of chiropractic care. The support provided by Aspen Laser helps the foundation create and distribute marketing campaigns to educate the public about the benefits of safe, effective, drug-free chiropractic care.

Indigenous Health & Wellness Connections

Indigenous Health and Wellness Connections (IHAWC) addresses the unmet, growing needs of many Native Americans. As the recipients of the most chronically underfunded federal healthcare delivery system in the nation, Native Americans often struggle to gain access to medical products and services they need. Native American communities also face higher rates of preventable illnesses, such as diabetes, chronic lower respiratory diseases, and other treatable conditions.

To demonstrate our dedication to improving healthcare for Native Americans, Aspen Laser donated medical equipment to a clinic at the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada. This first donation will go a long way in helping Tribal citizens achieve better health, and Aspen Laser looks forward to making future donations that benefit people living in Indian Country.

Space Foundation

Aspen Laser Systems is proud to be a Space Certification partner with the nonprofit advocate organization, Space Foundation. The program awards a “seal of approval” to commercial companies offering products and services originating from space technology, and that are a source of inspiration for discoveries and innovations associated with space technology. Aspen Laser adapted technology originally developed for NASA into a safe and reliable method of delivering painless, noninvasive light-based photobiomodulation (PBMT) therapy treatment for tendonitis, arthritis, acute joint or muscle injuries, and other conditions.

Aspen Laser is a proud investor in our community, and we would like to work with you to improve our community even more through the developing a laser therapy program with your clinic.
