Stay Sharp & Learn New Skills with CEU Certification Courses

Healthcare is a rapidly evolving field. We learn more about the human body every day, and we are constantly devising safer and more effective ways to treat and manage different health concerns, which is why continuing education is always important for every healthcare provider. To help healthcare professionals provide superior care, Aspen Laser offers certification courses to help all practitioners provide the best care possible using the latest in healthcare technology.

Almost all medical professionals must undergo continuing education to keep up with current information in their field. Many employers, such as clinics and hospitals, as well as professional organizations require nurses, doctors, and others to earn a specific number of continuing education units, or CEUs, within a certain timeframe.

The Power of CEUs

Continuing education provides much more than just “units,” though – these courses improve employee knowledge and equip them to provide exceptional care for patients. This is particularly important for providing safe, effective, and high-quality patient care in today’s highly technical, multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Continuing education courses boosts employee confidence, improves staff morale, and fosters a sense of community that strives for excellence. The combined benefits of continuing education courses enhance productivity, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure safe patient care.

CEUs also provide a great opportunity to learn new skills, which is a valuable advantage for all healthcare professionals. Healthcare is a highly competitive field, attracting the best and brightest minds from the medical, nursing, and other schools across the world. Many healthcare professionals excel in school, and are eager to learn new skills that set them apart from their peers. Unfortunately, education stops for most healthcare workers once they graduate, and most medical professionals are too busy to take additional courses in a classroom setting.

The good news is that CEUs are condensed courses that provide essential information in a very short time. These courses give workers the skills they need to advance their careers without taking a full semester of classes.

CEUs are also good for clinics. Adding state-of-the-art services to a practice or upgrading a clinic’s equipment can attract more clients, but only if you have a staff fully versed in performing those services. Continuing education gives your workers confidence in using cutting-edge technologies, and this confidence can increase patient satisfaction, improve efficiency, and even reduce waste.

Aspen Laser’s CEU Certification in Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is one of the most sought-after and effective treatments available today; many clinics across the country are adding laser therapy to attract new patients and to improve the care provided to existing patients. Also known as photobiomodulation (PBMT), laser therapy uses the power of light energy to stimulate energy production inside body cells. Laser therapy is a non-invasive, pain-free treatment that can reduce inflammation, ease pain, stimulate nerve regeneration, promote muscle relaxation, and trigger a healthy immune system response.

Aspen Laser is a medical device company and emerging global leader in innovative photomedicine technology. The company offers a full line of laser therapy technologies capable of delivering more energy than other lasers. Together with an optimal wavelength and treatment beam size, the additional power results in deeper penetration into body tissue and cells, significantly quicker treatment times, and improved delivery of the proper therapeutic dosage. To deliver laser treatment safely and effectively, however, takes training – Aspen Laser now offers that training through their CEU course.

Aspen Laser launched their Laser Therapy Certification Course at ChiroSymposium 2020. During the symposium, chiropractors, therapists, and medical doctors (MDs ) from 18 states took the first Laser Therapy Certification Course. The 12-hour course covered a number of topics with an emphasis on providing a strong foundation of the scientific, safety, and hands-on clinical training needed to use therapy lasers in the clinical setting. Some attendees underwent additional education covering the proper methods of research and treatment protocols. Each participant completed a competency examination at the end of the course, and those who passed received an official certificate of completion.

At the launch of the certification course, the Texas Chiropractic Association approved the course for up to 12 hours of CEUs in Texas, and 24 other states auto-approved it. The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards approved the course through the PACE Program (Course ID: 8180).

Today, Aspen Laser offers their CEU certification courses to healthcare professionals who want to advance their careers or offer more services at their clinics. Aspen Laser is offering 2-day certification training in Lindon, Utah twice a year, in the fall and spring. In our Live Symposium and Workshop, attendees will learn the newest information regarding laser therapy, full body LED systems, and targeted cryotherapy compression therapy. These healthcare professionals will learn how to use advanced class IV laser technology that is 1,200 times more powerful and how to work with True Dual Wavelength Technology that combines 810nm and 980nm wavelengths in one laser unit. CEUs for this training are available.
